When Reluctant Genius was unveiled in 2008, it was a chance for Tracy to reach out to a larger audience. Would people care enough to read it, to heed her advice, to really want to understand and read between the lines…was it a waste of time, too much work and possibly not worth it? Could she have spent her time doing something else, perhaps gardening or painting? Absolutely. But she chose to do something that took her outside her comfort zone, something so many of us are afraid to do, and she put her money where her mouth is! Tracy teaches you about yourself and self worth. She took a big chance with Reluctant Genius, and with that chance reaped many of its readers great rewards including herself.
Her comedic writing and brutal honesty coupled with her 17+ years of experience in TV has given her amazing insight, into the good, the bad and the very ugly side of (insert YOUR occupation here). Her professional background in TV is where she has gained a majority of her business savvy sense, but no matter what YOUR profession, Reluctant Genius doesn’t discriminate when advising its readers with topics that deal with everyday work-related situations, some of which you can even apply to your personal relationships.
I continue to read RG and hold my breath in anticipation for what’s to come next! I don’t have to sit there and think to myself, “That’s the way it is” or “…am I the only person that feels this way?” I actually have more control than I ever thought and I didn’t realize this until Reluctant Genius was born. With knowledge came a strength and power, a greater self-esteem and self worth, and before you know it, the world is your oyster.
